Redis 2.8.17 released – Urgent Upgrade for Redis Sentinel

Redis is an open source, BSD licensed, advanced key-value cache and store. It is often referred to as a data structure server since keys can contain strings, hashes, lists, sets, sorted sets, bitmaps and hyper logs. The latest release Redis 2.8.17 has been marked for urgent upgrade, especially for Redis Sentinel users. This release resolves a memory leak in the hiredis library causing a memory leak in Redis Sentinel when a monitored instance or another Sentinel is unavailable.
