How to Install Ubuntu on your Dell PC

This is a quick tutorial on how to install Ubuntu OS on your Dell desktop machine. As we know, Ubuntu is a Debian-based Linux operating system, with Unity as its default desktop environment. It is based on free software and named after the Southern African philosophy of ubuntu. 1. Setup a Windows Server 2012 VPN

Install IIS 8 on Windows Server 2012

This post is simply to show us how to install IIS 8 on Windows Server 2012 using the default settings. Steps: – Start the Server Manager – Click Add Roles and Features from the Manage Menu – On Add Roles and Features wizard begins and click Next – Select the Role-based or feature-based installation option and click Next – If you have more than one server managed via the server manager console, then select the desired server you’d like to install IIS 8 on – From the Roles lists select Web Server (IIS), click Add Features on the popup window – Click Next – No additional features are needed for IIS, so click Next – Review ‘Things to note’ section and click Next – As earlier mentioned, I will accept the default settings.

Installing Windows 8 from scratch

In this post, I will not bore us with the concept and history behind Windows 8 but like some of us who are like me :), I just want to go straight into the installation of Windows 8… “Brilliant :)”.
