Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid Lynx) reaches End of Life on April 30 2015

Ubuntu has just announced its Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid Lynx) released almost 5 years ago, on April 29, 2010 will no longer be supported after April 30, 2015. As with the earlier LTS releases, Ubuntu committed to ongoing security and critical fixes for a period of 5 years. The support period is now nearing its end and Ubuntu 10.04 will reach end of life on Thursday, April 30th. At that time, Ubuntu Security Notices will no longer include information or updated packages for Ubuntu 10.

Ubuntu 13.10 (Saucy Salamander) reaching End of Life on July 17 2014

As announced by Adam Conrad, Ubuntu 13.10 (Saucy Salamander) which was released almost 9 months ago, on October 17, 2013 is nearing its end of life. This was the second release with our new 9 month support cycle and, as such, the support period is now nearing its end and Ubuntu 13.10 will reach end of life on Thursday, July 17th. At that time, Ubuntu Security Notices will no longer include information or updated packages for Ubuntu 13.
