Skype Alpha 1.11 released with improvements in Video Call

Recently Skype released an update to the Skype for Linux Alpha client. It includes many new features and improvements compared to the previous version as they say, but that is not necessarily true or exact !     Now you can have support for setting an avatar in group chats and there are also some performance improvements during a video call. Some of the early users mentioned that they have already experienced issues, by receiving notifications when skype isn’t in focus.

Skype for Linux Alpha released

Skype for Linux Alpha recently released, is an early edition of a new version of Skype for Linux. Currently it lacks some features seen on the skype app but all of the features will be released in the final version. It can be installed globally but is currently available in English only. According to the developers, this release comes with the latest, fastest and most responsive Skype UI, so you can share files, photos, videos and a whole new range of new emoticons with your friends.

Kodi 16 Alpha 4 – Jarvis nearing completion with improved Android Surface Rendering

Following the successful release of Kodi 15.2 last month, Kodi 16 Alpha 4 is now nearing its final completion and would be ready be beta stage before its final release after being in alpha stage for four months. This latest alpha release has had a lot’s of code clean-up and improving stability, with a dash of features added. What to expect? Android Surface Rendering Some newer devices that can do UHD or 4K playback really well lack the power to also create the Kodi interface at that resolution, and this creates kind of a problem.
