Dropbox 7.3.29 released

Dropbox 7.3.29 recentrly released is the latest beta client desktop update. Dropbox is a storage application and service which enables users to store and sync files online and between computers. Dropbox has a cross-platform client (Windows, Mac, Linux and even Android) that enables users to drop any file into a Dropbox folder that is then synced to the web and the users’ other computers with the Dropbox client.


The latest release unfortunately has no changelog. Hoping this would be provided by the Dropbox team so we know what improvements have been made and if any.

Install Dropbox 7.3.29 on Ubuntu 16.04, Ubuntu 15.10 Wily Werewolf, Ubuntu 15.04 Vivid Vervet, Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr and derivative systems like Linux Mint 17.2 Rafaela, Linux Mint 17.1 Rebecca, Linux Mint 17 Qiana, Pinguy OS 14.04, Elementary OS 0.3 Freya, Deepin 2014, Peppermint 6, Peppermint 5, LXLE 14.04 and Linux Lite 2

For 32bit OS

sudo apt-get install libappindicator1

wget https://d1ilhw0800yew8.cloudfront.net/client/dropbox-lnx.x86-7.3.29.tar.gz

tar -xvf dropbox-lnx.x86-7.3.29.tar.gz
cd .dropbox-dist/ ./dropboxd

For 64bit OS

sudo apt-get install libappindicator1
