KDE Plasma 5.7.1 released

The KDE team recently announced the release of KDE Plasma 5.7.1, a bugfix update to KDE Plasma 5, versioned 5.7.1. Plasma 5.7 was released in July with many feature refinements and new modules to complete the desktop experience. This release adds a week’s worth of new translations and fixes from KDE’s contributors.


Highlights of KDE Plasma 5.7.1

  • Fix shadow rendering calculations.
  • Fixes ‘Krunner has broken shadow / corners’
  • Make the systray work with scripting shell again.
  • Fix microphone increase/decrease volume actions.
  • Fix files/folders in desktop not opening with right click context menu.
  • Fix window preview activation/close button for single-window tooltips
  • Task Manager] Reject wheel event if switching windows by mouse wheel is disabled
  • Return LegacyWinIdList for groups in final proxy sort order
  • Avoid side-channeling through shared static source models
  • Make the systray work with scripting shell again
  • [System Tray] Use TableView viewport to determin column width
