LibreOffice 5.0.4 RC1 available for download

The Document Foundation announced that the first Release Candidate for the LibreOffice 5.0.4 RC1 branch is now out and ready for testing. This is a very new release, and it’s going to be around for a long time. In fact, a couple more releases are planned after the launch of 5.0.4. The launch of the next major version, 5.1.0, should happen on February 1, at the earliest.


Hightlights of LibreOffice 5.0.4 RC1

  • Take the world scaling factor for fonts, but not the rotation
  • DOCX import: header/footer paragraph properties applied to body paragraph
  • [EDITING] Table Number Format not modified for empty table cells
  • Image in wrong place, table display wrong in docx file
  • PgSQL new DB allow empty Datasource
  • Add ability to set highlight color for text in drawing objects (Writer)
  • CRASH (OOM) while scrolling through a specific document
  • Meta: incomplete Sifr icon theme
  • FILESAVE : DOCX : Page Orientation is not preserved when mixed orientation is present
  • LOCALHELP: Images not displayed with newer icon themes
  • Automatic capitalization of “i” in a non-english language
  • Words in input fields are broken between lines at the end of line
  • FILESAVE: Bullets are lost when saving in OOxml (.pptx or .ppsx)
