QupZilla 1.8.9 Web Browser released with new logo

QupZilla 1.8.9 recently released, is a new and very fast QtWebKit browser. It aims to be a lightweight web browser available through all major platforms. QupZilla has all standard functions you expect from a web browser. It includes bookmarks, history (both also in sidebar) and tabs. You can manage RSS feeds with an included RSS reader, block ads with a builtin AdBlock plugin, block Flash content with Click2Flash and edit the local CA Certificates database with an SSL Manager.

This is the Ninth bugfix version with following changes:

  • new QupZilla logo
  • add button to open spellcheck settings in preferences
  • remove gradient in toolbar of browsing library
  • fix showing authors page in about dialog
  • fix showing current tab in tabbar after restoring session
  • fix searching for invalid one-word url strings from locationbar
  • fix switch to tab from locationbar completer when it is the only tab in window

Install QupZilla 1.8.9 on Ubuntu 15.10 Wily Werewolf, Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr and derivative systems such as Linux Mint 17.2 Rafaela, Linux Mint 17.1 Rebecca, Linux Mint 17 Qiana and Elementary OS 0.3 Freya

sudo apt-get update
