LibreOffice 5.0.3 and LibreOffice 4.4.6 Officially Released

The Document Foundation has just announced the release of LibreOffice 5.0.3, the 4th release of the LibreOffice 5.0 family, and LibreOffice 4.4.6, the 7th release of the LibreOffice 4.4 family. So far, the LibreOffice 5.0 family is the most popular LibreOffice ever.


Both software packages include many fixes introduced since the previous version.

  • FILESAVE: Bullets are lost when saving in OOxml (.pptx or .ppsx)
  • fix import of stretched background image
  • DOCX import: fix left-from-style and first-from-direct
  • FILESAVE: SolidConverter DOCX – On resave margins and images lost and file size doubled
  • SLIDESHOW: cannot start show at selected slide after having changed range
  • Crash: data text to columns
  • Impress does not export slides bullets to PPTX correctly
  • UI: Breeze icons appear in Sifr theme
  • UI: Switching between Style and Formatting tabs changes document status to modified
  • DOCX Import: Incorrect display of the headings – numbering style indents
  • Addressbook Integration: Unevaluated variable ‘$filename$’ displayed in error dialog

Install LibreOffice 5.0.3 on Ubuntu OS

sudo apt-get remove --purge libreoffice*

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:libreoffice/ppa

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install libreoffice
