Acer Jade Primo Uses Continuum To Transform Your Phone Into A Desktop System

The Acer Jade Primo is one of the first smartphones that will support the Windows 10 Continuum feature, permitting the users to transform their smartphone into a desktop system by plugging it into a docking station, mouse, keyboard and a display.

The phone will be released with its own dock, keyboard and mouse, but this does not mean that the phone does not support other peripherals.

The idea is good, but there are some Continuum limitations haven’t been fixed by Microsoft yet:

Only the Windows Store apps work via Continuum (the apps for the ARM architectures, not the desktop versions, for 32 bit and 64 bit architectures).

The apps run only on full-screen mode, as if they were on a mobile device

You don’t have a desktop, a taskbar and a start menu, but you can use your phone to make and receive calls, while plugged in on the dock.
