FFmpeg 2.7.1 released

FFmpeg 2.7.1 “Nash” recently released, is the leading multimedia framework, cross-platform solution that is used to decode, encode, transcode, mux, demux, stream,filter and play any audio or video files. This release includes all changes from ffmpeg-mt, libav master of 2015-06-10, libav 11 as of 2015-06-11.

Install FFmpeg 2.7.1 on Ubuntu OS

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:samrog131/ppa

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install ffmpeg-real

sudo ln -sf /opt/ffmpeg/bin/ffmpeg /usr/bin/ffmpeg

Install on Fedora 22

sudo yum install http://download1.rpmfusion.org/free/fedora/rpmfusion-free-release-22.noarch.rpm

sudo yum update

sudo yum install ffmpeg
