FileZilla Client released

FileZilla Client recently released, is an open source, cross-platform graphical FTP (port 21), SFTP (port 22), and FTPS (FTP over SSL/TLS – Port 990) client with lots of features and an intuitive graphical user interface. Among others, the features of FileZilla includes Supports FTP, FTP over SSL/TLS (FTPS) and SSH File Transfer Protocol (SFTP), Cross-platform.


FileZilla Client changelog

Fixed vulnerabilities:

  • Reject Diffie-Hellman Groups smaller than 1024 bits when using FTP over TLS to protect against the Logjam attack

Bugfixes and minor changes:

  • Do not bind the source IP address of the data connection if the server is not configured properly
  • Deleting bookmarks from the bookmarks dialog no longer deletes the wrong bookmark
  • Fixed CPU compatibility issues on 64bit binaries

Install FileZilla Client on Ubuntu OS

sudo apt-add-repository ppa:n-muench/programs-ppa

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install filezilla
