How to install Syncthing 0.10.27 recently released

Syncthing 0.10.27 recently released, is an open-source file synchronization client/server application, written in Go, implementing its own, equally free Block Exchange Protocol (BEP). The source code’s content-management repository is hosted on Github. According to the developers: Syncthing replaces Dropbox and BitTorrent Sync with something open, trustworthy and decentralized. Your data is your data alone and you deserve to choose where it is stored, if it is shared with some third party and how it’s transmitted over the Internet.

From Syncthing 0.10.26 changelog released 4 days earlier:

  • Get version from RELEASE file if it exists, or guess from directory
  • Do not send group/others-writable bits from Windows
  • Silence discovery warnings when v6 not available
  • Make sure we start scanning at an indexed location
  • Add missing translation strings
  • Allow not to limit bandwidth in LAN
  • Remove red if we managed to report to atleast one discovery server
  • Compress only metadata by default
  • Don’t yell about discovery listening and resolving
  • Fall back to %AppData% if %LocalAppData% is blank
