FileZilla Client released

FileZilla Client has been released and this version is mainly bug fixes and some minor improvements. FileZilla Client is an open source, cross-platform graphical FTP (port 21), SFTP (port 22), and FTPS (FTP over SSL/TLS – Port 990) client with lots of features and an intuitive graphical user interface.


FileZilla Client update

  • TLS handshakes no longer stall if the server sends ginormous packets during the handshake that do not fit into a single TLS record
  • Fix loading and saving the same queue item multiple times
  • Post-login commands now work with the protocol set to plain FTP
  • MSW: Allow uploading files that are locally opened for writing by another program
  • OS X: Fix layout issues in search dialog and filter conditions dialog

Install FileZilla Client on Ubuntu

For 32bit

wget -O FileZilla_3.10.0.1_i586-linux-gnu.tar.bz2

tar -xjvf FileZilla_3.10.0.1_i586-linux-gnu.tar.bz2

sudo rm -rf /opt/filezilla*

sudo mv FileZilla3 /opt/filezilla3

sudo ln -sf /opt/filezilla3/bin/filezilla /usr/bin/filezilla

For 64bit

wget -O FileZilla_3.10.0.1_x86_64-linux-gnu.tar.bz2

tar -xjvf FileZilla_3.10.0.1_x86_64-linux-gnu.tar.bz2

sudo rm -rf /opt/filezilla*

sudo mv FileZilla3 /opt/filezilla3

sudo ln -sf /opt/filezilla3/bin/filezilla /usr/bin/filezilla
