TeamTalk 5 Alpha2 released

TeamTalk 5 is a freeware conferencing system which allows multiple users to participate in audio and video conversations on the Internet or colleagues to chat or conference in a local area network. The TeamTalk 5 install file includes both client and server application. Special client application included with accessibility features for visually impaired. Essentially, it is a web conferencing tool that lets a group of people communicate with each other using both video & audio all in real time via a microphone and a web cam.

This release fixes several problems addressed by TeamTalk users

  • Introduces channel type “No audio recording allowed”
  • In this channel type it’s not possible for users to record conversations to disk
  • Reintroduces anonymous user account
  • Like in TeamTalk 4 it’s now possible to have a user account with an empty username and password
  • Statistics for packetloss in Classic client
  • Bugs fixed:
    • Max logins from specific IP-address allowed one too many

Install TeamTalk 5 Alpha 2 on Ubuntu 14.04 & Ubuntu 14.10

sudo apt-get install libqt4-core libqt4-network libqt4-xml libqt4-gui libasound2 libopus-dev libvpx-dev libspeex-dev libspeexdsp-dev


tar -xvf teamtalk-v5.0.0.3389alpha2-debian7-amd64.tgz
