qBittorrent 3.1.10 released

qBittorrent 3.1.10 finally released and it comes with lots of new features and bug fixes. qBittorrent is a BitTorrent client that comes loaded with all the modern functionality necessary for daily torrenting which includes an integrated search engine, web interface, sequential download support, bandwidth scheduler, RSS support and other useful features.

qBittorrent 3.1.10 update

  • New Features
    • Allow disabling of OS cache. This will prevent RAM increases on Windows when seeding many files
    • Add ‘Completed’ column
    • Added ‘Ratio Limit’ column
    • Add ‘Open’ and ‘Open Containing Folder’ entries in the content’s right-click menu
    • Don’t listen on IPv6 address by default. Prevents network connectivity problems
    • Added ‘Shutdown now’ button in shutdown confirmation dialog
    • Add peer port column to PeerListWidget

    • Correctly save/load settings and other improvements
    • Removed essentially useless ‘Visit website’ iframe and changed it to a regular link
    • Fix RSS feed icon. The tmp file gets deleted in the feed destructor

Install qBittorrent 3.1.10 on Ubuntu 14,04 & Ubuntu 14.10

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:hydr0g3n/qbittorrent-stable

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install qbittorrent

– If PPA is not up to date and you want the latest release, then compile as follows

sudo apt-get build-dep qbittorrent

wget sourceforge.net/projects/qbittorrent/files/qbittorrent/qbittorrent-3.1.10/qbittorrent-3.1.10.tar.gz

tar -xvf qbittorrent-3.1.10.tar.gz

cd qbittorrent-3.1.10

./configure

make

sudo make install
