GIMP 2.8.14 was released late last month, and this was released to fix a broken library versioning – libtool versioning. As it it, there are no notable changes either in UI or functionality. GIMP, as you know is an open source tool that lets you create and edit images. It can also be used for tasks such as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring. It works on many operating systems and in many languages.
Install GIMP 2.8.14 on Ubuntu 14.04 & Ubuntu 14.10
– GIMP latest update is available in PPA so this makes installation much easier
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:otto-kesselgulasch/gimp sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install gimp
Remove GIMP 2.8.14
sudo apt-get install ppa-purge sudo ppa-purge ppa:otto-kesselgulasch/gimpcomments powered by Disqus
