  • Fixed a performance regression when running KDE with desktop effects using the OpenGL compositing backend
  • Fixed a regression that could cause OpenGL rendering corruption on X screens with 30 bit per pixel color
  • Fixed several cosmetic issues in the clock control user interface of nvidia-settings.

Install Nvidia 337.25

Step 1: Uninstall Previous Version

– First remove previous nvidia graphics driver

sudo apt-get purge nvidia*
sudo apt-get install nvidia-319-updates-dev

– Stop the graphics session

# For Ubuntu LightDM

sudo service lightdm stop

#For Gnome GDM

sudo service gdm stop

Step 2: Download Nvidia 337.25

32bit

wget us.download.nvidia.com/XFree86/Linux-x86/337.25/NVIDIA-Linux-x86-337.25.run

For 64 bit

wget us.download.nvidia.com/XFree86/Linux-x86_64/337.25/NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-337.25.run

Step 3: Make the Installer Executable

sudo chmod +x NVIDIA-Linux-*-337.25.run

Step 4: Run the Executable

sudo ./NVIDIA-Linux-*-337.25.run

Step 5: Start Graphic Session

# For Ubuntu LightDM

sudo service lightdm start

# For Gnome GDM

sudo service gdm start

Uninstall Nvidia 337.25

– To uninstall this, you will need the downloaded file in step 3

sudo ./NVIDIA-Linux-*-337.25.run --uninstall
