AMD Catalyst 14.6 Beta for Linux Out

AMD Catalyst delivers a full software solution for PCs running several operating systems including Microsoft Windows 7, Windows 8, Linux and supports AMD Radeon graphics including:

  • AMD Radeon graphics processors for desktops
  • AMD Radeon graphics processors for notebook PCs
  • AMD Chipsets with integrated AMD Radeon graphics on board

Before attempting to install the AMD Catalyst Linux graphics driver, the following software must be installed:

  • Xorg/Xserver 7.4 and above (up to 1.15)
  • Linux kernel 2.6 or above (up to 3.13)
  • glibc version 2.2 or 2.3
  • POSIX Shared Memory (/dev/shm) support is required for 3D applications
