Install CodeLite 5.4 in Ubuntu, Debian, Linux Mint

CodeLite is an open source, free, cross platform IDE for the C/C++ programming languages which runs best on all major Platforms ( OSX, Windows and Linux ). See release notes for full details of fixes and improvements on latest version 5.4.

Install CodeLite

Step 1: Download and Install Dependencies

32bit OS

sudo dpkg -i libjbig0_2.0-2ubuntu1_i386.deb
sudo dpkg -i libtiff4_3.9.7-0ubuntu1_i386.deb

64bit OS

sudo dpkg -i libjbig0_2.0-2ubuntu1_amd64.deb
sudo dpkg -i libtiff4_3.9.7-0ubuntu1_amd64.deb

Step 2: Add CodeLite Key

sudo apt-key adv --fetch-keys

Step 3: Add Repository

sudo apt-add-repository "deb $(lsb_release -sc) universe"

Step 4: Update Repository

sudo apt-get update

Step 5: Install CodeLite

sudo apt-get install codelite wxcrafter
