The Document Foundation recently announced the release of LibreOffice Viewer for Android and this is available for download on Google Play. According to information, the Editing is still an experimental feature which has to be enabled separately in the settings, and is not stable enough for mission critical tasks. It will be enhanced in the future to a fully fledged editing solution with the help of developers. LibreOffice for Android Beta released

The Document Foundation (TDF) have announced the release of LibreOffice for Android beta in the Google Play Store, allowing mobile users to access Open Document Format (ODF) files from devices such as tablets and smartphones. The first release of LibreOffice Viewer handles text documents and basic presentations. Support for spreadsheets have been included in an early form, while support for more complex presentations is planned for a future release. Users are invited to download and test the application, although care is advised for production environments.

Enable Sifr icon theme for LibreOffice 4.2.x

If you have recently installed the latest version of LibreOffice 4.2 and want to switch the icon theme from default Galaxy theme to a flat monochrome theme, then you will need to install Sifr Icon theme and enable it.
