OpenSSL 1.0.1i has just been released. OpenSSL is a cryptography toolkit implementing the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL v2/v3) and Transport Layer Security (TLS v1) network protocols and related cryptography standards required by them. It is also described as a library that provides cryptographic functionality to applications such as secure web servers. OpenSSL includes a command line utility that can be used to perform a variety of cryptographic functions. The OpenSSL toolkit is supported on a wide-range of GNU/Linux operating system, including Debian, Ubuntu, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOS, Fedora, Mageia or openSUSE.
