Qt 5.6.1 released, Install on Ubuntu 16.04

Qt 5.6.1 recently released, is a cross-platform application framework that is widely used for developing application software with a graphical user interface (GUI), and also used for developing non-GUI programs such as command-line tools and consoles for servers. Qt 5.6.1 brings over 800 improvements on top of the already solid Qt 5.6.0 release.

Qt 5.6.1 Highlights

Out of the over 800 improvements, there are many error corrections across all modules of Qt, as well as updates to the documentation and various translations of Qt. Qt 5.6.1 also provides some non-critical security fixes in the Qt framework and in 3rd party libraries. For example, Chromium and libpng have been updated to include the latest upstream security fixes.

Install Qt 5.6.1 on Ubuntu 16.04 (Yakkety Yak), 16.04 (Xenial Xerus), Ubuntu 15.10 (Wily Werewolf), Ubuntu 15.04(Vivid Vervet), Ubuntu 14.04 (Trusty Tahr)

On Qt Setup Wizard screen, follow the on-screen wizard to complete the installation
