Install PhpStorm 7 on Ubuntu 14.04

Install PhpStorm 7

– Install dependencies

sudo apt-get purge openjdk*

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:webupd8team/java

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install oracle-java7-installer

sudo apt-get install oracle-java7-set-default

– Install PhpStorm


tar -xvf PhpStorm-7.1.3.tar.gz

cd PhpStorm-133.982/bin

    the java’s repository broken now.
    At ubuntu i’ve had to downlod .tar.gz and install according (in portuguese)

    What folder would you install this too? /usr/local since it depends on Java?

    I just used this tutorial to install PhpStorm-2016.1 on Ubuntu 15 – worked like a charm. I just had to change the PhpStorm version number in few steps.
